Is there a cost to the shelter?

No. Scan Support covers all technology and card costs. Your contribution is staff time for resident verification and onboarding.

How are recipients verified?

Shelter staff use the Scan Support app to verify residents with valid ID. Once verified, Scan Support issues a restricted virtual Stripe card.

What spending categories are supported?

Groceries, transit, hygiene & personal care, health, and shelter costs. Donors choose how to allocate their donation across categories.
